The Role

As Propulsion Systems Product Lead VI, you will own the product line, product definition, and roadmap planning for our expanding integrated systems. You will work across engineering, manufacturing, program management, and business development teams to refine product direction, establish technical requirements, and ensure alignment between customer mission needs and product capabilities.

You will have a highly influential role in shaping how Agile designs, builds, and delivers integrated propulsion systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive product definition and roadmap planning for in-space propulsion systems
  • Lead technical activities related to business development and proposal efforts
  • Define and maintain product-level technical requirements
  • Lead requirements definition activities from contract award through SRR
  • Develop technical execution plans with engineering and manufacturing teams
  • Lead the technical transition of programs from business development into execution
  • Serve as a technical liaison between customers, programs, suppliers, and internal engineering teams
  • Establish technical relationships with customers to align products with mission needs
  • Participate in gated product development reviews and provide technical guidance for product evolution
  • Support trade studies, anomaly investigations, and product improvement efforts
  • Coordinate across multidisciplinary teams to ensure alignment between technical, schedule, and product objectives
  • Develop innovative propulsion system architectures and push the boundaries of spacecraft propulsion capabilities

Required Qualifications

  • B.S. in Engineering or related technical field, or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of experience in aerospace or related technical field
  • Proven experience with hypergolic rocket engine propulsion systems, including architecture, design, integration, test, and qualification
  • Knowledge of propulsion feed systems, valves, regulators, catalyst beds, thermal management, structural considerations, and pulsed thruster operation
  • Familiarity with propulsion system requirements development, verification, manufacturing, and qualification activities
  • Familiarity with propulsion component supply chain partners
  • Experience supporting proposal development and customer technical discussions
  • Experience supporting gated design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR)
  • Experience with spacecraft propulsion interfaces, mission integration, trade studies, anomaly investigations, and technical risk reduction efforts
  • Strong systems engineering including understanding mechanical, fluid, and thermal systems and interactions with control electronic architecture
  • Experience working across multidisciplinary engineering teams and with customers to define mission objectives, CONOPS, and system requirements
  • Experience with product development processes and technical decision-making for propulsion systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing strategic technical relationships with customers
  • Experience with developing hardware in a manufacturing production environment
  • Familiarity with requirements management tools
  • Experience supporting failure investigations and root cause analysis
  • Familiarity with NASA and other aerospace industry standards
  • Clear and concise presentation and communication skills
  • Experience with project management tools and techniques

Compensation and Details

Salary: $156,000 - $210,000. Final compensation will be based on factors such as experience, skills, and internal equity, typically within the midrange.

Employment Type: Full-time, Exempt

Location: Durango, CO or Seattle, WA (Hybrid). Strong preference given to candidates willing to relocate to Durango, CO. Seattle-based candidates must reside within commuting distance of Seattle.

Travel: Up to 50% travel may be required for customer support and technical assistance.
