Assembly, Integration and Test Associate Engineer (Fall 2026)
Associate Engineer positions last for twelve weeks and are salaried roles for graduates with a bachelor's degree.
You will work on hard problems alongside experienced engineers. Associate Engineers work on projects of equal importance and difficulty to full-time roles. Many past Associate Engineers have designed and tested hardware and software now in orbit on Astranis satellites.
What you will do
- Work on an interdisciplinary team to design, build, and test satellite hardware and software
- Work with Electrical, Mechanical, RF, and Propulsion engineering teams to develop assembly and integration test plans and procedures
- Learn to use test equipment and instruments (thermal chambers, vibration tables, DAQs, oscilloscopes, etc.) to execute test plans
- Coordinate assembly, integration, and environmental test efforts
Requirements
- Four-year degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent technical discipline
- Passion for hardware development and fast-paced hands-on work
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise
- Strong communication skills
- Familiarity with spacecraft systems and operation
- Must be onsite 5 days a week
Bonus skills
- Hands-on experience designing, building, and testing
- Python code experience to interface with test equipment, process datasets, or visualise data
- CAD experience
- Direct electrical or mechanical design experience
- Ability to debug hardware and software problems under time pressure
Compensation
Base salary: $1,925 per week.

U.S. Citizenship, Lawful Permanent Residency, or Refugee/Asylee Status required to comply with U.S. Government space technology export regulations.
