Electrical Integration Associate - Avionics (Fall 2026) Seen this week

Role

You will work on an interdisciplinary team to design, build, and test satellite hardware and software. You will collaborate with Electrical, Mechanical, Radio Frequency, and Propulsion engineering teams to develop assembly and integration test plans and procedures based on concepts and designs.

You will learn to use various pieces of test equipment and instruments including thermal chambers, vibration tables, DAQs, and oscilloscopes to successfully execute test plans. You will coordinate assembly, integration and environmental test efforts, and help solve complex electrical, software, and mechanical problems in an integrated system.

Requirements

  • Four-year degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent technical degree
  • Graduated within the last 6 months or currently enrolled in a post-graduate program
  • Passion for hardware development and hands-on design in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize
  • Strong communication skills
  • Must be onsite 5 days a week
  • U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, or refugee/asylee status required (ITAR compliance)

Bonus Skills

  • Hands-on experience designing, building, and testing complex electrical systems
  • Experience writing Python code to interface with test equipment, process large datasets, and visualize data
  • Direct electrical or software design experience
  • Demonstrated ability to debug hardware and software problems under time pressure

Position Details

Associate Engineer positions typically last twelve weeks and are salaried roles designed for students who have already received a bachelor's degree or will have done so before working at Astranis. You will work on projects of equal importance and difficulty to those assigned to full-time employees.

Base salary: $1,925 per week.
