The Role
As Senior Software Test Engineer, you will design and develop test routines and infrastructure to exercise and validate software and hardware components for our satellite mission programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute test plans and test cases for software and hardware systems
- Lead test campaigns spanning spacecraft flight and ground systems
- Create and execute system level verification, validation, integration, and test plans
- Work alongside leadership to manage test plan and test framework implementation
- Participate in design and code reviews to ensure software meets quality standards
- Drive improvement of software testing tools and processes
- Rapidly prototype software to prove out design concepts and participate in hardware-in-the-loop systems development
- Assess software and system issues to find solutions across software-hardware interfaces
- Collaborate with internal and third-party partner organizations
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years professional software engineering experience, including 3+ years professional software test development
- Professional experience developing Python
- Experience developing C and/or C++
- Experience with Git, Docker, cloud services, modern CI/CD practices and software/hardware integration
- Familiarity with bash and Linux
- Bachelor's degree, master's degree or PhD in computer science, computer engineering or related field
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Compensation and Requirements
Salary range: $130,000 to $155,000. Actual salaries vary based on experience, knowledge and ability.
