About the Role

This position supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle designed to carry people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. The vehicle's first stage is fully reusable and human-capable.

You will partner with integrated Test Leads and design engineers to plan and execute vehicle subsystem tests. Your responsibilities include:

  • Developing test methods aligned with Blue Origin standards and practices
  • Leading Critical Test Reviews and Test Readiness Reviews
  • Writing and managing test procedures and procedural redlines during test campaigns
  • Developing procedures and software automation for test and launch operations
  • Developing, managing, and maintaining test Ground Support Equipment
  • Acting as lead test engineer with overall responsibility for test execution, crew coordination, and vehicle configuration
  • Enforcing safety policies during test planning and operations
  • Reducing, analyzing, and archiving test data to support verification
  • Solving issues that arise during testing

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent professional experience
  • 2-5+ years hands-on technical experience in: test procedure development and writing; technical writing and interpersonal skills; hazardous testing with strong safety record; working successfully across multiple fields; leading test teams as Test Conductor or Test Engineer
  • 2-5+ years hands-on technical experience in at least one of: Avionics, Navigation or control systems; Power Storage and Distribution Systems; Electrical Harnessing; Electrical Instrumentation; Communications systems; Electrical Ground Support Equipment
  • Experience in system engineering practices (formal or informal)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Engineering or similar
  • Experience testing or operating electrical test systems and standard electrical test equipment
  • Experience solving electrical issues and deriving root causes for non-nominal test issues
  • Experience testing or operating avionics/control systems
  • Familiarity with aerospace vehicle electrical systems, topologies, and verification/validation approaches

Requirements
