At CesiumAstro, you will be a key team member ensuring the quality and delivery of communication systems for satellites, UAVs, launch vehicles, and other space and airborne platforms meets customer expectations.

You will build, repair, and maintain SMT circuit card and electronics final assemblies. You will interpret schematics, drawings, and diagrams to guide assembly work, communicate regularly with engineers to ensure designs are implemented correctly, and maintain strict attention to detail in a clean workspace. As a startup, you may assist with inventory cycle counts, shipping and receiving, and other tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2 years of experience in electronic assembly operations such as SMT, AOI, component prepping, X-ray, de-panel, and soldering
  • Experience interpreting schematics, drawings, diagrams, and visual aids for assembly
  • Ability to work with team members and communicate clearly on production roles
  • Experience using tools to make or repair parts and products
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to differentiate between colors to identify colored electrical wires
  • Attention to detail and maintenance of clean workspace
  • Ability to read parts lists and verify all components are present
  • Familiarity with routine preventive maintenance
  • Experience maintaining inventory and placing orders for supplies
  • Basic computer skills to complete quality control forms
  • Familiarity working in ESD and FOD-controlled environments
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and follow strict safety guidelines
