About the Role
You will analyze, design, and implement engineering test plans and procedures for CesiumAstro's satellite communication systems. Working with multi-disciplinary teams, you'll develop test requirements, design reusable test architectures, and execute test procedures for high-reliability, high-volume satellite platforms.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineering teams to define and develop test requirements
- Map requirements to reusable test architectures and procedures
- Implement test plans and procedures using test equipment and automation
- Log and present test results to key stakeholders
- Manage lab equipment and guide equipment purchase decisions
- Evaluate non-conformances to determine root cause and drive system improvements
- Apply working knowledge of schematics, operations, manufacturing, and testing
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering
- 2+ years of experience in engineering
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing test systems
- Applied experience in test optimization for manufacturing environments
- Test architecture design and development including scripting, test executives, hardware, and measurement abstraction layers
- Programming or scripting experience (Python or C#)
- Experience writing test plans, procedures, and providing go/no-go judgment
- Experience in a production environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated engineering intuition, critical thinking, and comfort with ambiguity
Preferred Experience
- Programming or scripting experience (MATLAB, C/C++, etc.)
- Proficiency with statistics and metrology
- Understanding of RF and mixed-signal hardware (amplifiers, filters, ADCs/DACs, antennas)
