The Role

You will work on the 2nd shift, 3-11:30pm, in our electronics manufacturing facility in Cedar Park, TX. You will join the Avionics team in the design, build, integration, and test of fully functional space launch rockets, satellites, and landers. This work primarily includes the assembly of avionics harnesses and associated flight hardware.

Your Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and assemble high-quality, high-reliability wire harnesses and electro-mechanical assemblies from detailed instructions.
  • Document all work properly and completely in preparation for QA inspection.
  • Read and interpret design documents, schematics, wiring diagrams, specifications, and drawings.
  • Provide feedback to manufacturing engineering on quality, discrepancy identification, and manufacturing and design improvements.
  • Comply with the company FOD program, tool control program, 5-S program, and all safety regulations.
  • Monitor your work progress against area benchmarks and achieve on-time delivery.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Hands-on experience with hand tools to assemble or build a product (electrical, structural, or any type of trade training or experience).
  • Excellent concentration and attention to detail with first-rate work efficiency and accuracy.
  • Dexterity and ability to perform hands-on harness assembly for extended periods of time.
  • Basic computer skills with ability to use email and MS Office programs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and teamwork skills.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with wiring and hand-held tools.
  • Basic technical skills in electro-mechanical assembly.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to fast-paced, constantly changing production environment with flight hardware.

To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
