Mission Brief

The working student role focuses on in-house development of H₂O₂ within the Combustion Equipment team. This team is responsible for the development of Gas Generator, Ignition System, Ignition Fluid Tanking Unit and Operations, Technological Development of Combustion Fluids, and Heat Exchanger systems.

Your Role in Our Space Mission

More specifically, you will:

  • Assist in planning and executing testing campaigns primarily related to H₂O₂ in collaboration with the system responsible
  • Ensure safe operations by utilising and developing procedures and processes
  • Engage in design tasks in close collaboration with the system responsible
  • Manage upgrades and maintenance of the test bench, both on paper and in practice
  • Conduct AIT (Assembly, Integration, Testing) testing of all H₂O₂ systems

Qualification Checklist

  • Ongoing engineering bachelor's or master's degree in aerospace, mechanical engineering or similar
  • Hands-on experience in the development or testing of complex systems from relevant positions, internships, clubs, or extra-curricular activities
  • Able to perform in high-stress environments, maintaining focus and concentration for long durations
  • Capable of designing fluid and mechanical systems from theoretical concept to realisation and commissioning
  • Fluent in English

Bonus Skills

  • Experience with hazardous systems (cryogenic, flammable, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with fluid system and piping/tubing
  • Experience with at least one programming language (Python, Matlab, C, C#, Cobol)
