The Role
As Director of System Integration and Test, you will conceive, plan, and execute integration and systems test for the entire Logos payload, terminal, and ground systems. You are the final gatekeeper for design to reach production and will own production readiness from function and performance perspectives.
This is a high-profile role with direct visibility to the CEO. You will thrive in a fast-moving startup environment, turning vague ideas into executable actions and solving very hard problems.
Your Responsibilities
- Own overall system integration and system test of the Logos Space system
- Ensure production quality and production readiness across all system segments
- Build and scale the system integration and test teams appropriately for a startup context
- Own integration and system testing timelines across all phases of design and development
- Conceive, plan, and build all labs needed for proper system integration and test
- Plan software and hardware releases prior to first launch and for multiple generations thereafter
- Set up processes and methodologies for continuous improvement through continuous integration and test
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or STEM field with significant relevant experience in system design, integration, and test of large hardware and software systems
- Minimum 15 years building hardware, software, or silicon systems
- Significant professional experience with team building, preferably in small company context
- Significant professional experience with team and function planning
- Significant experience planning, building, and operating integration labs for large wireless systems
- Significant experience in satcom and/or terrestrial wireless system design, integration, and test
- Hands-on software or hardware experience (assembly, integration, and test) in professional or academic settings
- Proven track record working with software or hardware systems through entire product lifecycle: conceptual design, trade-offs, detailed design, development, manufacturing, integration, testing, deployment, and operations
- Strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills; experience working with other strong functional leads
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or STEM field with significant relevant experience in system design, integration, and test of large hardware and software systems
- 15+ years experience with wireless systems design, integration, and test
- 5+ years experience leading system integration and test teams
- Experience in fast-paced startups
- Experience building teams in small company context
- Experience delivering products to production
