About Logos Space

Logos Space is building a Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite system for enterprise and government connectivity. The constellation delivers resilient, high-performance satellite-based connectivity to fixed, seaborne, and airborne terminals worldwide, with built-in performance standards for speed and reliability.

The Role

You will lead the development of the onboard, real-time beam control system. This role connects low-level estimation and control software with high-level mission requirements, turning vague design ideas into practical flight-ready software.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain real-time state estimation and pointing control flight software in C and C++
  • Manage interfaces between payload beam control flight software, mechanically-steered antenna hardware, electronically steerable antennas, and optical intersatellite crosslink terminals
  • Perform detailed attitude determination, control, disturbance rejection, and pointing performance analyses; bridge link budgets with pointing budgets
  • Conduct closed-loop testing using software-in-the-loop (SITL) simulations, hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) simulations, and FlatSat platforms
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle: requirements definition, architecture design, coding, and code reviews
  • Provide technical support for mission operations, including anomaly resolution and operational procedure development

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a STEM field
  • Senior-level experience with spacecraft GN&C software development
  • Knowledge of spacecraft attitude state estimation and control algorithms such as the Multiplicative Extended Kalman Filter (MEKF)
  • Proficiency in C, C++, Python, Rust, or Julia
  • Experience with Agile development practices, DevOps, and workflow management tools

Other Information

Offers are contingent on the candidate's ability to access export-controlled information under U.S. law.
