About the role

Within the MaiaSpace technical team, you will lead the overall first-stage engine propulsion systems for the MSP launcher. You will own engine specifications, manage supplier partnerships, and ensure technical consistency across launcher architecture and flight operations.

Your responsibilities

  • Manage engine specification for the MSP launcher and ensure convergence and consistency with all launcher architects, particularly the first-stage architect (3-engine bay), with focus on optimizing business performance for both expendable and reusable launch vehicle configurations.
  • Contribute to launcher development and verification plans, with strong links to test objectives, exploitation, and measurement planning.
  • Support test and flight preparation activities including flight-worthiness file development, forecasting, and analysis.
  • Manage the first-stage engine technical database, configuration management, and coordinate planning activities with the engine supplier.
  • Define and manage technical logic and action plans for technical issues together with the engine supplier.
  • Ensure consistency with upper-stage engine system design.

Design activities

  • Conduct concept studies and trade-off analyses.
  • Develop technical specifications and requirements.
  • Prepare functional and justification files for MSP.
  • Contribute to safety files.
  • Define test roadmaps and verification logic.

Supplier and strategy

  • Coordinate and ensure convergence with engine suppliers.
  • Support the company's propulsion roadmap.
  • Support industrialization and operation planning.
