About the Team
The engine manufacturing department develops high performing products and manufacturing systems by innovating on cost, quality, and lead time. Through cross-functional collaboration, accountability, and safety focus, the team supports the Terran R program. You will provide design feedback on hardware iterations, develop manufacturing methods, and build engine and vehicle hardware for testing.
About the Role
As a Propulsion Technician II, Valves, you will be on the front line of assembly and testing of Aeon-R engine components, sub-assemblies and engines. You will support in-house processes including:
- Precision cleaning
- Hydrostatic proof testing
- Pneumatic leak check
- Flow testing
- Component assembly and test
- Engine assembly
This role builds the skills necessary to create and refine robust component and engine building processes.
Schedule
First shift, Monday through Friday, 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. PT. Standard 50-hour workweek including 10 guaranteed overtime hours each week.
Requirements
- Experience working on engines, with primary focus on engine components
- Familiarity with Gas Generator cycle engine architecture and nomenclature
- Experience with high pressure fluid system development and testing such as hydrostatic proof, pneumatic leak check, and flow testing
- Familiarity with electrical and mechanical system integration
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions and engineering drawings
- Strong technical and interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with 5S manufacturing principles
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles
- Experience transitioning from development into high-volume production
Compensation
Hiring range: $27.20 to $40.80 USD per hour. Actual compensation based on experience, qualifications, and job-related factors. Benefits include competitive salary and equity, generous PTO and sick leave, parental leave, and annual learning and development stipend.
