About the Team
Our international and agile team is searching for a motivated Electrical Technician to join operations at the UK's first vertical launch site on the Shetland Islands. You will lead construction, installation, commissioning and maintenance of systems at the launch site in Unst, with the opportunity to travel to other sites across Europe. You can choose to be based at the launch site or work on a rotation pattern.
Your Tasks
- Installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment
- Perform LOTO to ensure safe isolation and verification of zero energy state
- Troubleshoot new and existing electrical systems and machinery
- Perform preventative repair and maintenance of electrical systems, devices and equipment
- Install electrical wiring and components to design and code specifications
- Install and maintain power distribution across the launch site
- Perform electrical installation and wiring of building facilities
- Perform control cabinet wiring and commissioning
- Carry out light fabrication and machining using hand and power tools
Your Qualifications
- ECS gold card: Installation Electrician, Maintenance Electrician, Electrical Fitter, Wireman/Panel Builder
- Previous experience in commercial or industrial electrical environment
- Experience and understanding of instrumentation and control systems
- Experience with IT and data systems equipment
- Ability to follow detailed electrical schematics
- Understanding of fluid systems: pneumatic, cryogenics, hydraulics
- Experience in maintenance and repair of UPS systems
- Experience with LABVIEW, C++, structured text or ladder logic
- Experience with National Instruments and Beckhoff hardware
- MEWP and forklift licence
- Experience on UK construction projects
- CSCS green card desirable
