About Nyx
The Exploration Company is developing, producing and operating Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle that can be refuelled in orbit and carry cargo, with potential for human flight in future.
Your Role
You will lead AIT (Assembly, Integration and Testing) activities for Nyx earth projects. You'll manage the AIT team, directly supporting execution of operations, and lead continuous improvement of AIT processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute AIT activities and lead engineers and technicians in assembly, integration and testing of the Cargo Capsule Nyx
- Manage the AIT budget for people and resources to deliver Nyx-e
- Create and maintain AIT plans, define test sequences and procedures with AIT experts
- Manage the schedule of Nyx and interface with design and programme teams to influence cost and time-effective decisions
- Lead resolution of anomalies during integration and testing
- Manage test reports and feedback on blockages or problems during AIT
- Ensure consistency between Ground Support Equipment (GSE) design and operational needs
- Support procurement of tools and equipment needed for AIT activities
- Support hiring of engineers and technicians for the AIT team
- Perform risk assessment of AIT activities and manage Test Readiness Reviews
- Set up the AIT team and integration hall in Munich
What You Bring
- Advanced engineering degree (Master or PhD)
- 10+ years of experience in the aerospace sector, with a focus on executing late-stage projects
- 10+ years of experience in AIT of aerospace vehicles
- Experience in setting up AIT facilities (a plus)
- Organized and rigorous approach
- Hands-on problem-solving mindset and team spirit
- Leadership skills and strong ability to organize and prioritize tasks
- Ability to communicate at all levels of the business
- Positive and flexible attitude
