The Exploration Company is developing Nyx, a modular reusable space orbital vehicle powered by cutting-edge cryogenic propulsion systems. We seek a Power Electronics Engineer to join the Huracan propulsion team in Munich.
What you will do
- Improve and finalize schematics and layouts of power and control boards
- Perform bring-up, lab tests and troubleshooting of power electronics systems in-house and at external labs
- Support other engineers in optimizing designs
- Prepare test reports and technical documentation, and contribute to operating procedures
- Ensure and enhance performance and safety of test benches
What you need
- BSc or higher degree in electrical engineering or power electronics
- 2+ years hardware development and troubleshooting experience, preferably in aerospace, avionics, automotive or high-reliability applications
- 2+ years experience with power electronics systems, preferably drive or traction inverters
- Proficiency with Altium Designer and simulation software (PLECS, Matlab/Simulink, LTspice or similar)
- Understanding of power electronics principles, SiC semiconductors, gate drivers and thermal management
- Hands-on lab experience: soldering, rework, electrical and thermal measurements, test setup preparation and reporting
- Knowledge of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, lab equipment and tools
- Effective communication in English (French or German advantageous)

- Power HIL prototyping including battery and motor emulators
- Thermal chamber tests and EMC pre-compliance testing
- EMI standards knowledge
- Radiation hardness and mitigation for electronic systems
- Space-relevant standards (ECSS, MIL-STD, NASA-HBK) and regulations
