The Role

Vantor is hiring a Model Based Systems Engineering and Digital Modeling Engineer to support U.S. Space Force development and deployment of resilient Missile Warning (MW), Tactical Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (TISR), and Environmental Monitoring (EM) capabilities.

You will work on space sensing system acquisition and development, contributing your systems engineering expertise to shape remote sensing capabilities for the Space Force.

What You Will Do

  • Create, integrate, and apply interdisciplinary digital models of products from concept throughout the product lifecycle
  • Apply advanced consulting skills and extensive technical expertise
  • Develop innovative solutions to complex problems
  • Perform systems engineering analysis and design reviews with limited direction
  • Mentor and may supervise team members
  • Establish collaborative relationships with government clients, FFRDCs, and contractors

Requirements

  • Secret clearance (active U.S. Government security clearance required at hire)
  • U.S. Citizen
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics
  • 5+ years of experience with large-scale missions and systems engineering integration
  • 3+ years performing systems engineering analysis and developing systems engineering products for DoD or government systems
  • 3+ years of practical MBSE for technical specifications, interface control documents, and system architecture using digital engineering tools such as Cameo, MagicDraw, SparxEA, DOORS, or IBM Rhapsody
  • Ability to perform multiple systems engineering and program management functions in support of design reviews and requirements verification

Preferred Qualifications

  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Master's degree in Engineering
  • Experience with Model-Based Verification and Validation
  • Experience with MATLAB, STK, ModelCenter, or TeamCenter
  • Experience analyzing and translating system requirements into design
  • Knowledge of Systems Modeling Language (SysML) and DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF)
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve technical risks and issues
  • OMG Certified Systems Model Professional (OCSMP) Certification
  • INCOSE Systems Engineering Certification

Work Arrangement

At least 2-3 days per week on site. Meetings and schedules may require additional on-site days.

Compensation

Base pay ranges from $95,000 to $201,000 annually, depending on geographic market (California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington). Starting pay determined by experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills, and market conditions.
